Savannah, Georgia has a nationwide reputation for its romantic inns. Savannah is a wonderful place to begin married life.
Two inns known for their romantic appeal are the Ziegler House and the Green Palm Inn. The Green Palm Inn is a cozy bed and breakfast, which originally served as a seaman’s cottage. With only four bedrooms, guests receive plenty of appropriate attention and home cooking.
Located on Jones Street, The Ziegler House is a bit more spacious. The Inn is the perfect place for couples wishing to sample the galleries, shops and restaurants of Savannah.
Speaking of restaurants, 45 Bistro and Belford’s are fine examples of Southern hospitality and excellent food in Savannah.
Savannah Georgia offers more than just relaxation and romance – a dolphin tour or a visit to the Tybee Island Museum are worth investigating. Last but not least, wind down the day with a riverboat cruise at sunset
2. Santa Barbara, California


Just two blocks from the Santa Barbara Beach, the Lavender Inn by the Sea is a tastefully decorated escape with a variety of rooms and suites. Downtown Santa Barbara, with its shops and restaurants is within walking distance of the Inn.

For a romantic touch, you can always visit one of the many nearby beaches. Butterfly Beach is famed for its beautiful sunsets and sunrises, allowing you and your spouse to bask in the pastel glow of the early evenings.
1. Woodstock, Vermont
In the course of writing this article we explored many different locales, but Woodstock, Vermont combined fine accommodations, food, activities and romance to make it the number one honeymoon destination.
For romantic accommodations, consider the Woodstock Inn and the Kedron Valley Inn.
Surrounded by nature and manicured lawns, the Woodstock in reflects old world accommodations while exuding luxury. The Inn is located in the beautiful village of Woodstock amidst shops and gourmet restaurants.
The Kedron Valley Inn sits just outside of Woodstock Village. The Inn has been welcoming guests for more than 150 years and consists of 25 rooms. There is a romantic restaurant on site, serving American cuisine with a unique Vermont twist.
If you decide to eat in Woodstock Village, a visit to the Red Rooster is in order. Or make the 20-minute drive to nearby Quechee and dine at Simon Pearce, only after you have visited the glass blowing exhibit and shopped for hand blown glassware.
The most important thing about your honeymoon is to take one! Reality will close in on you soon enough and this magical, wonderful, time together will provide many experiences to strengthen your relationship.
