How UMass Lowell is becoming America’s Most Affordable University

Why Would You Want to Come Here?
From a financial perspective, it seems that UMass Lowell is a sound choice, though it is important to note that the information that is available is not as complete as it could be. In short, the statistics revealed that the average starting salary for the Class of 2014 was a respectable $45,585.
Furthermore, they revealed that chemical engineers had the highest starting salaries at an average of $68,000, though one electrical engineer managed an amazing $96,000. In exchange, 79 percent of UMass Lowell students assumed an average of $28,482 in debt, which was higher than some but lower than other universities in the region, though not bad when compared to universities situated throughout the United States.

In part, this is because while UMass Lowell offers discounted tuition to in-state students as is common among public universities, it also offers discounted tuition to other local students as well.
For example, the Proximity Regional Rates Program means that students from southern New Hampshire can benefit from about $6,000 in savings compared to other out-of-state students, which makes it no coincidence that UMass Lowell manages to attract such a high proportion of them.

To round out the financial reasons to attend UMass Lowell, it is important to note that it has a thriving student life as well, as shown by the more than 200 student-run organizations that can be found on campus catering to a wide range of hobbies and interests. As a result, there is no doubt that UMass Lowell offers its students not just a world-class education at an affordable price but also plenty to do in their off-time, thus achieving the best of all worlds.
Conclusion

Summed up, it is clear that UMass Lowell is an excellent choice for students coming from the state of Massachusetts as well as the surrounding region. In part, this is because of its excellent education, which can be seen in the excellent results of its alumni. However, it should also be noted that it comes with affordable tuition, which is becoming more and more important in what can sometimes seem like an ever more expensive world.
