Ten Fidy Imperial Russian Stout  – Oskar Blues Grill & Brew

The Oskar Blues Grill & Brew, found in Lyons, states that Ten Fidy Imperial Russian Stout (10.5% ABV) is made with large amounts of two-row malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley oats and hops. When poured into a pint glass this stout is jet black with a thin caramel colored head. The aroma of Ten Fidy is of roasted coffee and chocolate. There is a clear hoppy content in this stout and it is inviting and enjoyable in its overall taste.

You need to taste this beer in order to believe the quality of this stout. Ten Fidy is a strong beer and that is reflected in the 10.5% alcohol content. It is easy to drink and that is one reason you need to pay attention to the alcohol level. Some folks describe Ten Fidy as a “one and done” beer. America Unraveled agrees that this beer exceeds our expectations and for this reason we have ranked Ten Fidy Imperial Russian Stout as the number one beer in Colorado. This is an Imperial Stout you must try.

Wyoming

2×4 DIPA American Double/Imperial IPA – Thai Me Up/Melvin Brewing

The 2×4 DIPA is the Gold Winner of the Alpha King Championships 2 years in a row.

Pouring this beer into a pint glass you will see a hazy orange and gold body with a nice white head. The aroma of this Double IPA is citrusy and with a  sweet Tropical fruit scent as well. The taste is resin and pine and tropical fruit as the aroma suggests and it is very mellow and turns toward the bitter at the end of the swallow.

This IPA surely sneaks up on you with its 10.00% alcohol content. We at America Unraveled find this to be a fabulous Double IPA and for that reason we have ranked 2×4 DIPA the number one beer in Wyoming. This beer is a must try if you like Double Imperial IPA’s.

Oklahoma

Bomb American Double Imperial Stout – Prairie Artisan Ales

Pour Bomb American Double Imperial Stout, brewed in Tulsa,  into a pint glass and it comes out dark with a light brown head. The aroma of this beer is coffee, cocoa, caramel with a hint of ancho chili peppers. Cocoa dominates the taste throughout the sipping of this beer. It is surprising with the high alcohol content (13.0% ABV) that there is little if any alcohol taste. The taste finishes with a sudden warming from the chiles. Overall the taste is very smooth. This beer is one of the best beers I have tried while writing this beer survey. For this reason BOMB American Double /Imperial Stout has been picked by America Unraveled as the number one beer in Oklahoma. This is a great Imperial Stout with a good mix of Cocoa and coffee flavor with a nice touch of pepper heat. A must try for the beer lovers of the world.

Nevada

Citra Rye American Pale Ale – Joseph James Brewing, Inc.

Sitting at the heart of this American Pale Ale, brewed in Henderson, is the 2- row Vienna and Rye malts in conjunction with Centennial and Citra hops. Light orange when you pour this APA into a pint glass with a thick off- white head. The aroma of Citra Rye (5.4% ABV) is citrus notes and spicy rye. The taste brings out the citrus orange flavored hops with a hint of honey sweetness and a peppery sensation from the rye.

I would say that this is a very dry pale ale with a bold taste. An enjoyable beer that is very drinkable and is different from other pale ales because of the change up with the Rye component. This difference that sets CITRA RYE apart from other pale ales, and that is the reason America Unraveled has chosen CITRA RYE APA the number one beer in Nevada.
